Would you like to start a family someday?

Dear Reader: Whether you are thinking of starting a family or if you have been having trouble getting pregnant, I offer naturopathic fertility treatments to help you achieve your goal - having a healthy baby. My focus is on identifying the root causes of infertility and utilizing naturopathic treatments to improve fertility. I also strive to prevent infertility for individuals and couples who are interested in taking a proactive approach to their reproductive health. Men can be at a disadvantage when it comes to their fertility. A low sperm count or low sperm motility can pose a challenge to fertility but is not something that can be felt or seen by the naked eye, thus most men do not know how healthy their sperm is unless they have a known medical condition that affects sperm or unless they've had a semen analysis test. In women, obvious challenges to getting pregnant would include PCOS, amenorrhea, having irregular cycles, diminished ovarian reserve, or premature ovarian failure. In many instances, women may have menstrual issues that they believe are simply normal variations of a woman’s menstrual cycle. What they are not told is that these issues may be impacting their fertility. These issues include painful menses, heavy periods, endometriosis, very light periods, ovulating early, ovulating late, a short luteal phase, spotting, and uniphasic basal body temperatures. Some men may unknowingly have nicks and breaks in their sperm DNA, which could impact their fertility, despite having a normal semen analysis test. I have worked with many couples and individuals who have been told by their healthcare provider that all their tests are normal and therefore have been given the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. More often than not, there is indeed an explanation for infertility that is revealed from a naturopathic approach to cycle monitoring and fertility evaluation. I am passionate about educating my patients about their reproductive health and providing natural solutions for their fertility issues. I look forward to working with you so that some day you can hear the pitter patter of little feet. Yours in health, Dr. Holly Letourneau ND |
